Adding probiotics and cutting carbohydrates/sugar are key to controlling candida. Fortunately, you can culture foods to get your probiotics, which can be very inexpensive.
Sauerkraut can be lacto fermented with just salt and shredded cabbage.
Milk and water kefir grains are often given away on fermentation groups and Craig's List. To make milk kefir, you'll need milk.
To make water kefir, you'll need chlorine free water, sugar, a sterilized egg shell, dried fruit and the kefir grains.
Kombucha SCOBYS can also be found for free. You only need black tea and sugar to make Kombucha.
If you live in the Denver area, I'd be happy to share.
If you have a hermetic flip top jar, like a Fido, that's the best. If not use a regular jar.
As far as oils go, oregano oil kills bacteria, yeast (candida) and viruses. I'd start some ferments and add oregano oil.
I'm a huge fan of Frankincense. I can't think of anything, I wouldn't try it on.
Let me know if you'd like me to point you in the direction of some fermentation help.
