[Everything doTERRA] allergies and scent sensitivities

ok, so I reached out (via email and included the Vanderbilt Hospital video) to a friend who is an exec at a Christian School and part of his response was..."Thanks for the info, Chad! We deal with kids who have significant allergies and sensitivities to scents, so we aren't permitted to have candles or potpourri.  I am guessing that this would be considered in the same category?  I'm actually surprised that a healthcare environment can allow those to be used. I used to work in the healthcare products industry and they have insane rules on anything airborne.  "

Anyone dealt with this concern? I'm thinking that the oils would only help, but is there something to the scent sensitivity thing? Any links to testimonies or references that speak to the use of aromatic compounds in a school, etc.?

Part of my response was..."Well, the essential oils are certainly not in the category of potpourri or candles. Actually, the essential oils of doTERRA are the purest and most potent in the world and they developed a standard called CPTG - Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade to ensure that standard of quality. These essential oils would actually helped the students with allergies and should not effect those with sensitivities to scents due to the purity of the scent. Most reactions are due to the poor quality/low grade and/or the synthetic nature of the scents/oils. This is an interesting discussion that I will research further on.

At minimum, an oil blend like doTERRA's "On Guard" could be diffused in order to kill airborne pathogens and make your environment healthier for students and staff."
