[Everything doTERRA] Re: Dampness in my body

Hi Deanette. There are lots of oils that can help, but it would be helpful to us if you could be more specific about what symptoms of dampness you're having. I'm an acupuncturist & Chinese herbalist, but this isn't a Chinese medicine forum, so people may not be familiar with the terminology. Which oils to use depends on the specific symptoms of dampness and the cause(s). Dampness is perhaps most commonly caused by weak digestion, but you also need to treat the underlying issues, such as poor eating or lifestyle habits, stress, emotions that have become toxic, irritability, etc.

Basic recommendations:

Weak digestion in general - DIgestZen or perhaps Terrazyme
Loose stools and/or gassiness - DigestZen, peppermint, ginger
Nasal/sinus/lung phlegm congestion – DigestZen, Breathe, and a number of other oils to deal with the cause of the phlegm and relieve the symptoms.
Foggy, cloudy thinking, poor memory - InTune, Peppermint, Wild Orange, Rosemary, or other oils that help clear the mind.
Emotional issues - There are many good, take a look at the Mood Matrix

There are lots of others more familiar with the oils that can give you additional suggestions.
Also check the Modern Essentials book. Good luck.
