Re: [Everything doTERRA] Extreme Sensitization

You just need to watch the area for any sensitive reaction. When my son-in-law was treating his broken wrist he applied a powerful group of oils for 3 weeks. He did start to see some sensitivity but insisted on one more week before he went for his follow up xrays. By that time his wrist was showing some angry rash. Of course you have to know that he would take off the cast (removable) to apply the oils and then replace it.  After the xrays he stopped applying the oils and went with just lavender which cleared it up within a week.
The xrays astonished the doctors after a plate and 8 screws they thought he would never have mobility in his wrist and he has total movement.
YEAH!!

Some of the Safety data in the ME book states that certain oils (such
as On Guard) after repeated use can result in extreme contact
sensitization. Does anyone know exactly that means? That after so much
use it could cause an allergic reaction?

I have a customer treating a staph infection on her fingers with
OnGuard and Melaleuca.  She is also nursing her infant.  I'm having
her apply 2-3 times a day.  She feels she is showing improvement but
has some hesitations with the oils in general, and having them come
into close proximity to her 6 month olds face so regularly.

I've seen others recommend taking a break periodically from oil use
when treating something long term.  What is the standard rule of thumb
for these breaks?
