My nephew was allergic to processed corn products (which is in just about everything you buy at the store). One of the signs that there was a corn allergy (according to the Doc) is that his ears would turn cherry red when he was exposed. You might bring him to a qualified allergist to have him scratch tested. My nephew was about that age when they found out, I think he eventually outgrew it though. he is in his 20's now.

Love this recipe idea! I have a son who is 4 and is honery, yells, freaks out etc... I do notice that if his diet is bad, then he acts up more. The things that he eats to make him "crazy" is sugar, artificial colors, less veggies and fruits.
More calcium and magnesium helps a lot! I use peter gillham natural calm mag plus calcium from vitacost.com (for 1/2 the price). He acts up all day but is bad around 2 to bed. So he gets cal mag at lunch around noon or 1. Calcium receptors open up around 3 or 4 and if there is not a lot of calcium or magnesium for the body then u get cranky, tired, etc.... just take before so it will b in place by time the receptors open. the vitamins will work great too in increasing cal and mag
