Also, make sure she's emptying her bladder regularly and completely. A stretched bladder will cause her more pain. She can do kegels and other exercises to help with this, along with drinking plenty of liquids.

I had to get coaching from my chiropractor on how to do this after my cesarean (not bladder, but similar in process I bet). It's painful, but it's the best way to get rid of the pain long-term. I also used Immortelle, diluted in my own roller bottle (10drops in 10ml), over the scar area and found a decrease in nerve pain when used twice daily. I hope she finds relief!
