http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17267908
It was ONE study, with NO CONTROLS, on only 3 boys. As you know, a conclusion based on 3 boys, isn't really "scientific." Especially when they don't say if this was a hexane or methanol extracted essential oil or a pure steam distilled. Solvents aren't good for anyone. And, what was in these boy's diets? Were they consuming hormone laden dairy, beef or soy? hmmmmm.
I also found this study that pretty much contradicts the above study.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21744749
Lavender INCREASED testosterone levels in this one. So, there you go.
Found this too... It's soy, yikes. Very bad.http://www.menshealth.com/nutrition/soys-negative-effects.
The article mentions how lavender and melaleuca have caused breast development, I'm assuming they are referring again to the ONE study above that wasn't even scientific. Ridiculous.
