I have found the Aroma Touch Technique to be very helpful. And as for how often,
it depends on how often you want to use them. I would say when he needs them.

•       Sometimes gets very hoarse for no reason
•       When he gets excited, he pushes on his cheeks with his fists.  He
says that his cheeks will feel tingly and pushing on them makes them
feel better.  Unfortunately, it's an odd habit.

My sister thinks these symptoms point to issues with the vagus nerve.

A new IPC that has had GREAT success w/vetiver & her own daughter's
central auditory processing disorder (+ anxiety, ADHD, etc) has given
them serenity, balance and vetivier to try but with no success.  I
don't know HOW MUCH & HOW OFTEN they used them, though.
