[Everything doTERRA] Re: diluting oiils and taking internally

It says on the FCO bottle - "for topical use only".   I wrote product support so will let you know what they said.

Dr Hill recommends Oregano, among other oils, to be taken internally to fight viruses. Of course, I have been taking these internally with the FCO mixed in so it's not too strong and now I just read that the FCO says for topical use only!  Concerned I have been hurting myself and our family.  Anything info you can give me about this would be helpful.

Also - when recommendations are made for oils to be taken internally - and they are the strong ones that recommend dilution, are we supposed to be doing it without diluting them?  Thank you for your help!!

Yes, and other food allergies too. Dairy products give me cardiac palpitations--irregular and skipped beats.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] diluting oiils and taking internally

Where did you hear not to take the fractionated coconut oil internally. It's made to be taken internally so not sure what you are referring to. I would not be concerned, it sounds like you have it all together. It would be very uncomfortable to swish those oils without the carrier. And even taking them in a capsule the coconut oil is actually anti-bacterial so that should also work well.

Let you intuition guide you and don't always listen to others but to yourself.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Sinus infection?

Actually these abbreviations come from medical Latin abreviations. T.I.D. means three times a day or "ter in die" As a registerd nurse, (and any medical student) we learned these in school. Most hospitals are going back to the long hand dosing time and not using the abbreviations. They can be confusing. There is a difference in the amount of therapy consumed based on the timing / dose. Please be cautious when offering suggestions on how often to use an oil.
Q.D.: every day
B.I.D.: Twice a day
T.I.D. Three times a day
Q.I.D.: Four times a day
P.R.N. As needed
N.P.O. Nothing by mouth
Q12h: Every 12 hours

[Everything doTERRA] Re: diluting oiils and taking internally

there is one protocol i found on pinterest that calls for putting cinnamon and lemon in 1 TSP of FCO and taking it (because the cinnamon is hot) - but the bottle says for topical use only....so i guess i don't know what to say.  :/ - i'm confused now...

[Haddy Munj's Blog] New comment on [Everything doTERRA] Hemophilia.

bobbie has left a new comment on your post "[Everything doTERRA] Hemophilia":

I am sorry I don't have any answers for you, but I am an RN who worked for 15 years in pediatric private duty nursing, and in my current job I have just been given my first hemophiliac patient (a child) who I have to start an IV on to give him his Factor injection. I am also a doTerra wellness advocate, so I've been researching this. There isn't much out there (as I'm sure you've already discovered) but these are some general guidelines I have come up with, and with the support of his mom, we are cautiously going to try some. Oils to AVOID: (considered "hot" oils) - cinnamon, clove, clary sage, marjoram, oregano, bay laurel, birch, wintergreen, and pretty much all the citrus oils. Oils I am thinking might be OK: at the top of the list, I would try helichrysum because it is used in first aid to stop bleeding and I have used it myself successfully for this purpose. Also, any of the calming oils like lavender, geranium, chamomile, and frankincense (the king of all oils). If your child has sensitive skin, I think I would stick with diffusing the oils in the air for starters or, if you want to try them topically, dilute them with fractionated coconut oil. I'd be careful with blends. Make sure you know every oil that is in it. doTERRA's deep blue rub, for example, is one of my favorite products for swelling and pain, but I'd be VERY cautious about trying it on a hemophiliac child because it has wintergreen and camphor in it and I am not sure how those stimulants would affect him, even though they are anti-inflammatory.

I notice that the date of your post is January, 2014 and as I am writing this comment, it is December, 2014. So I hope you have already discovered some oils that have helped your son. If so, I would very much like to hear about your experience with them as I am hoping to offer some suggestions and relief to another family in similar circumstances.
