I worked in construction with concrete myself. At the time i did not use oilsbut i imagine my suggestion may help. Some people slathered their arms I'm vaseline before we started pouring. That isn't very natural but it worked for some i never tried it. I make my own body butter with coconut oil, cocoa butter, and fco. For him i would add lavender to soothe his skin. Theoretically, he could apply it liberally up and down his arms before working the concrete and it may provide a like protective barrier if good stuff has already soaked into his skin. Also i would think or on guard hand soap would help clean it off.this is all theoretical, i stopped working in the industry years ago.
My skin was destroyed so quickly by concrete. As uncomfortable as it sounds, wearing concrete gloves for me was necessary 100% if i was getting splashed by our pump, long sleeves were necessary. I'm sure he tries to protect himself this way but some if the people i worked with thought it was dumb. Regardless covering helped me.
I have little to no experience cleansing, but drinking citrus oils may help. With what i know of lime and concrete, this sounds like a topical irritation not systemic/internal reaction. I will post the body butter recipe when I'm in the computer next. If this is a problem he its seeking medical attention for, it may be worth looking into Workman s compensation. It doesn't have to be an acute incident. But starting that process is up to him and isn't about oils :)

Actually, it is "lime" and not "lyme". It comes from limestone where it gets its name. Chemically, it is known as calcium oxide (CaO) and is highly alkaline. But of course, shouldn't be confused with the fruit!
It not an injury that he is suffering from, but long-term exposure from years of working with cement.Thank you for your two cents!--
