[Everything doTERRA] Re: My dog has torn her ACL

The vet thought my dog had torn his as well.  He was in so much pain he went from very energetic to barely able to walk in one day.  I used deep blue rub (with a little FCO) then lemongrass. Lemongrass is very good for helping ligaments repair themselves.  The doctors did have to put him on prednisone but to help with the pain and inflammation, but then he was able to heal himself.  It took about 6 weeks but he is all better now. Good luck.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: PB Assist vs. other brands of probiotics

I'm sorry, I wrote that wrong. PB Assist would cost approximately $136 for 120 capsules, not $160.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: PB Assist vs. other brands of probiotics

I've been doing research comparing probiotic brands recently. Namely, New Chapter All Flora, Doterra's PB Assist, and BioKult. I have read from a source I trust that a good probiotic should contain as many different species of bacteria as possible, and that it should have at least 8 billion bacterial cells per GRAM (might require some math on your part).
New Chapter has 10 species of bacteria. It claims that two capsules contain 8 billion cells AT THE TIME OF MANUFACTURE. Who knows how long they actually stay alive. Capsules are taken on an empty stomach. They have no time-release technology, so I'm sure it's highly possible that some of the beneficial bacteria gets killed by stomach acid, etc.  Cost: approx. $35 for 120 capsules.
PB Assist has 6 species of bacteria. One capsule contains 5 billion cells. They have the time-release technology which means there is a greater possibility that bacteria will go where it needs to go. Capsules are taken with food. Cost: approx. $34 for only 30 capsules. (that's $160 for 120 capsules!!)
BioKult contains 14 species of bacteria. One capsule has 2 billion cells. It has 10 billion per GRAM. BioKult claims that due to their technology, the bacteria are protected from the stomach acid and are able to colonize the full gastro-intestinal tract. Capsules are taken with food, and are also able to be pulled apart and emptied, which would benefit someone who struggles with swallowing pills. Cost: approx. $42 for 120 capsules.
My personal conclusion on these three brands:
New Chapter- GOOD
PB Assist - BETTER   (you are getting your "points" from DoTerra and staying loyal to your business)
BioKult - BEST    (MUCH more cost effective than PB Assist)

Hope this helps someone.

[Everything doTERRA] Hydrocele in 7 year old

My 7 year old was diagnosed with a hydrocele in his right testicle. The Dr recommends surgery, though it is not urgent. We will not be able to have the surgery for several weeks (which the Dr said was fine since he is not having pain, its just swollen). I am wondering if there are any oils I can use on him to reduce the swelling. Its basically fluid in the sac around his testicle.
My son is very apprehensive about surgery as he had a bad experience with anesthesia which sent him back to the hospital for dehydration as the anesthesia made him so sick.
Any help is much appreciated!!
Thank you!
Melissa

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Gang Green Protocol needed

I would be dropping OnGuard directly into the would, possible Helichrysum and Frankincense also. I do not have the protocol you are looking for, but if this were my personal situation I would do these three oils.

I have a Lady who has gang green in her foot.

I know I read a story/ protocol used written by the daughter of a Lady who had gang green in her toes.  Dr Hill told them what to do & the Lady's sweet husband diligently followed the protocol & it worked quickly. I can't find it- maybe it did not come over when they had to switch boards.  It was so long ago.  Does anyone have that protocol?  Or one that has been successful?  I also am thinking the off gassing would be very dangerous to the person applying the oils.  How does her husband protect himself?

Thank you so much,

Heather in WA

Thank you so much for telling us about this.

My mentally ill daughter has been getting a swollen parotid gland off and on for the last couple of months. I have used On guard several times and it worked ok . I added Melaleuca and Oregano in a capsule as well. Yesterday it was swollen again. This time I had the thought to use basil. As I was putting it on, she said, "its shrinking! I can feel it shrinking!" And indeed it was! We continued to apply it several more times and I also continued with internal Melaleuca and Oregano. Today it is much better!
Hurrah for DoTerra!
