It gives me heartburn as well.  I dilute it with FCO and rub it on my skin.  Works great!

I had to stop taking Slim & Sassy. It was giving me horrible
heartburn. I tried reducing the amount I was using, but I was still
having trouble and eventually stopped using it in my water altogether.
The same with using peppermint oil in capsules for the allergy
protocol (so mixed with lavender and lemon oil). Then I learned that
peppermint can cause the sphincter muscle at the bottom of the
esophagus/opening to the stomach to relax causing reflux and then it
all made sense. I always knew it was the peppermint oil, but didn't
understand why ... You can read more about it here:

any issues with the LLV pack giving me reflux issues, but can't use
peppermint oil or S&S internally anymore ...
