Re: [Everything doTERRA] Oils and Breast Feeding

I think a lot of it is dependant upon the person. Peppermint would make my milk drop a little bit, but the jasmine in whisper just about dried my supply up in one use. My little girl would get a little rash around her mouth when I was consistently drinking lemon water and nursing, but my sister in law did the same thing and her baby never had any I'll effects. Just be aware of your body and keep a close eye on how it effects your LO and I'm sure you'll find the oils that work for you and the ones that don't. Good luck!

I know not to take peppermint while nursing, but are there any other
oils that are not safe? Does the degree that peppermint affects the
milk depend on person - for instance the amount that is in Slim and
Sassy - would that stop milk production?  I was also thinking about
some of the citrus oils like lemon since they let toxins out of the
body, would they be unsafe to use as far as the toxins being released
through the milk?
