This is just my personal experience with my 2 cats. Cat are very smart animals and know what they need or don't need. For instance if I am diffusing meleluca they will not stay in that room. My one cat won't come near if I have deep blue on. And the other cat who absolutely loves many of the oils comes and clings to me when I wear certain oils. Btw I don't worry about citrus, have no reason to put it on them and it doesn't seem to bother them when I diffuse them.
