Re: [Everything doTERRA] Very nervous Mama new to doTERRA and need some advice for my kiddo

My daughter would get a cough that would last for months...Brethe would help but it would never go away completly. I'm a big believer in the oils...but you also need to remember kids vitamins and diet. MyEuropean trained pediatrition did not want to give her antibiotics but simply said that the FDA really needs to up the daily use of Vit D3 for children. So 1000 IU of vitamin D3 daily for her has kept it away. Make sure its not some sugar filled gummy bear either.. I like the 2500 IU lemon packets that are vegitarian. The brand ...I can't remember but I got them from Vitacost.com blue packet.

Hi. I could see why your worried, i would be to. I know that onguard has been a very useful oil in my family for colds. I would continue it and  just one for his fever. And maybe breathe if he is congested. But i would stop all the blending of different oils for awhile and see what that does for him.  Maybe even diffuse on guard throughout the day. Plenty of liquids and alot of TLC. Hope he feels better soon!

[Everything doTERRA] Very nervous Mama new to doTERRA and need some advice for my kiddo

Hi,

My son is 23 months old. I have been using doTERRA oils for almost
two months now. They have been wonderful. I started using them when
my friend reccomended them for my sons nasty cold. He was better in 2
days! I couldn't believe it, so of course I was sold. A week later
my son had a fever, was lethargic and had diarrhea. I used peppermint
and lavendar to reduce the fever, and on gaurd. It took him a week to
get well. But I didn't have to use any tylenol to keep his fever down
so I was still impressed.

I put on guard on his feet everyday. Almost a week ago his nose
started running. He wasn't real congested and the mucous was clear so
I thought he had allergies. I blended lavendar, lemon and peppermint
and put it on his feet with the on guard and it helped his runny
nose. Until yesterday, when symptoms got much worse. He is now very
congested and has an awful cough. I thought well maybe this isn't
allergies so I stopped the allergy blend. And blended marjoram,
melaleuca, breath and thyme and rubbed that on his chest, back and
neck. Then I started reading some posts on here about side effects of
using too many oils too quickly. So tonight before he went to bed I
just applied breathe and ongaurd to his chest, neck and back. And did
not use the blend I made earlier in the day.

Any advice on what to do next would be greatly appreciated. My
instinct is to back off on the oils. But I'm not sure which ones I
should keep applying. Also I'm worried that the oils I used for his
cold may have contributed to the fever he had a week after getting
over his cold.

Thanks so much,
Missy
