[Everything doTERRA] open wound

My 94 yr. old dad injured his leg and has an open wound…… he goes to the doctor twice a week to get it treated and dressed. This has been going on for awhile now and it does not seem to be healing. He has used good food supplements a good share of his life, has had excellent health, good mind….. just slowing down a bit obviously. Anyway I'm wanting to go visit and take my oils. Since it's an open wound I'm wondering about what to use. Also how it should be applied… drops, spray mixture? I am thinking frankincense, and helichrysum….. he does have pain sometimes…. I've never used deep blue on an open wound and don't know that you should. Any suggestions?
