[Everything doTERRA] Cassia

I just looked in ME & can't find that I would use Cassia for a whole lot & I generally scan every post on here since I've subscribed & can't remember anyone mentioning it. I will do some more research on my own, but was wondering if any of you use it & for what.

Thanks,
Doniel

Where are you putting the Lemongrass?
I am using this for sore joints due to tendon damage wonder if this will
work for as lowering cholesterol is something my doctor is urging me to
do as well.

[Everything doTERRA] Bullous Pemphigoid

I have a woman who is interested in Essential Oils, she has a an
autoimmune skin disease called Bullous Pemphigoid and I can't find
anything to recommend to her for this condition. She is considering
bee venom therapy (which I have had great success with for arthritis)
but I would prefer to direct her towards Essential Oils. Any
suggestions?

[Everything doTERRA] Hair Detangler

Hi!

I was wanting to make some leave-in hair conditioner/detangler for
myself and my daughter. I was looking online and found several recipes
using conditioner and water. I was hoping to use coconut/jojoba oil
and/or conditioner, water, and essential oils. Anyone have a blend
that works well for them??

Thanks!

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: 10% off?

#5 on mine still says geranium, but I did click on details and it popped the cassia ad, lol.  Weird.  I hope someone posts what the free oil this month is.  I encouraged many of my team members to move their order to the second, so that they will be more informed of the specials.  I also called doTERRA and put in a suggestion that they release that information a few days before the first of the month.  I like to get my order right away, and waiting a day is hard!

[Everything doTERRA] Fundraiser booth

Hi folks!

I am having a booth of sorts, similar to what you have at a trade show
or fair. I've read pages and pages of posts in this group and got a
lot of great information...so thanks! However, this booth is a little
different. I am doing it as part of a fundraiser for a school. They
are having a market and having about 15 people there, all from at-home/
party-style companies: Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Lia Sophia, thirty-
one, etc. The deal is that we have to donate 10% of our sales from the
day back to the school. I am a little unsure of how to structure this.

My first thought is to have only retail sales. But I'm new to doTERRA,
only been at it a few months, and only recently started to think about
moving beyond just using the oils. Between me and my sister, we have a
decent collection of oils. I have a couple unopened bottles I was
planning on doing a drawing for. I have some other good ideas for
samples and water and the diffuser and all of that....but I don't have
extra product on hand that I can just sell. I'm worried that even
though it only takes about 3-4 days for doTERRA to get my product to
me, that people won't purchase if they can't walk away with it.

So then I was thinking about encouraging people to sign. With the way
its structured, it is certainly beneficial to sign people up as an
IPC...and for the most part I can pitch that. I'm a little worried for
the same reason...they can't walk away with the product. Plus I am not
really sure how to keep track of my "sales" this way so I can figure
out how much to donate back to the school. Since everybody there will
be of the plan-style company, I sort of hesitate to pitch the IPC to
people, even though it is really the greatest deal and structure ever.
Plus, where I live, people are very touchy and get put-off very easily
by being asked to "join." I think its because while the town I live in
has a decent number of people, its still very "small town" and people
get pressured into parties and joining and such a lot.

I'm looking forward to raising some money for the school. But the
reason I'm doing the booth is to get the doTERRA name out there, sign
some IPCs or get some PCs, and get my name out there and hopefully get
enough interest to do some classes. That is really the ultimate goal,
just like a trade show booth. Do any of you have any ideas on how to
structure this? The booth part I have a good handle on....its the
sales v. signing and the donation part I'm having a hard time figuring
out. I'm hoping maybe one of you has done something similar? Or at
elast has some thoughts to offer. I'm just barely getting a handle on
how the whole downline thing and retail sales and all of that
work...and I'm not even entirely sure on it...like PCs....I don't get
why we have PCs when for $35 you can be an IPC and pay less? I
actually also don't get why people do retail for the same reason.

So I got a little long -windedm, sorry. TIA so much for any advice you
can offer!!

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Eczema and Clear Skin

I have.  It takes away the itching almost immediately.  It has taken some time for my dry patch to go away, but it is going away.  I bet if I put it on at least twice a day, my two patches that I have would be gone, I tend to get busy and forget.  I am only applying it in the morning after I shower.

Hope this helps

Re: [Everything doTERRA] chronic degenerative--disk pushing out over the next one, pinching root of sciatic nerve

This past weekend in Fresno I presente the oils to a doctor who used to be a chiropractor but has changed his practice to NeuroSoma therapy.  I purchased the book  WHAT'S REALLY WRONG WITH YOU?   by Thomas Griner.  Thomas has studied the muscles of the body for over 20 years and has developed this therapy to relax and soften muscles.  He has found that many of our problems are related to constricted muscles.

In this book he states: "Discs don't slip.  It's physiologicl nonense.  And only in the raret cases do they actually rupture, or tear.  In the 1950s, researchers performed postmortems on a group of people who had been diagnosed with "ruptured" discs.  Only one-tenth of 1 perscent of the sample actually had ruptured discs."  He went on to say that "ruptured" discs, "torn rotator cuff", "bursitis" and "carpal tunnel" involve muscle spasm and its impact on nerve.

I have found this book fascinating.  The doctor I met with said he has had tremendous results with this therapy.  We discussed the benefits of the oils in enhancing this therapy.

This is something to think about.  I am going to put this philosophy to the test, using more of doTERRA's muscle oils on these areas and see what happens.  I'll report back on the doctor in Fresno.

Debie

I am asking this for a gal that is interested in doTERRA but her
challenge is certainly out of my league so I'm turning to all you
wonderfully knowledgeable doTERRA-ites!  :)  This is what she said:

Turns out I have a disk in my back that has pushed out over the next
one and is pinching the root of the sciatic nerve. It's a chronic
degenerative condition, so all that can be done is pain management.
I'm having an MRI on Monday, just to rule out any other contributing
causes, but I don't expect the prognosis to change. The doctor said
the standard treatment is periodic cortisone shots (they have to be
given under x-ray, I guess to avoid accidental damage to the spinal
cord) but if I can manage the pain with essential oils, I may be able
to avoid that unappealing option.

[Everything doTERRA] Re: severe allergies

Thank you for all the suggestions. I can't convince her to swish with
the drops. It is all I can do to get her to put it on her feet as she
can't stand the smell of the lavender.

I just started her on a capsule of 2 drops each lemon, lavender,
peppermint and melalueca at night. Is this enough? She won't do it
in the morning because then she burps lavender. :)

[Everything doTERRA] Re: sinus infection

My mom came up w/a recipe for sinus/allergy issues that has worked
well for almost everyone who has tried it...it is as follows:

Mom's Magic Bullet:
4 drops Oregano
4 drops Rosemary
2 drops Onguard
1-2 drops Frankincense

Take this 2-4 times daily or as symptoms return...when they subside we
have found that we can go several days to even several weeks without
even 1...also I'd suggest diffusing Onguard/oregano in the home to
help kill the mold.

Hope this helps...

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Wet Eczema (infected)

Helichrysum is one of the best oils for eczema apply it topically and
full strength...also I was reading this week that if eczema is a
continual issue there could be a candida albican build up in the body
so GX Assist followed by PB Assist+ was suggested as an internal way
to combat this and it could take 2-3 months of doing this to actually
get it under control...hope this helps and is not too late. I haven't
read all the other responses yet so plz forgive me if I have repeated
other ppls suggestions...

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth

For what it's worth I agree w/Pat. I have done both made my own Gx w/
oregano, mel and lemon...AND I have taken GX assist...personally I'd
start with GX Assist followed by PB Assist+ and she may need to do
this several times in order to get out the bad bacteria and replace it
with the good:) Plz let us know if she tries this and how quickly it
works...

Ok so break may be a strong word I don't take a break either actually
I just switch the ones I'm using and thanks to you for sharing how to
muscle test myself I retest myself when I think something needs to be
"tweeked" so there's the word instead of taking a break sometimes I

I agree with the lavender that was what I was thinking before I even
read the post before mine:) If you have a Beginners trio that'd be

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Whooping Cough/ Cough that won't go away

We have found that layering 1-2 drops breathe then 1-2 drops rosemary
on top of that takes coughs away. Not sure about whooping cough but it
has worked for bronchitis as well as asthma coughs...would hurt to try
this and I'd even layer in the myrrh since it is an expectorant. Of
course with your 2yr old you will want to dilute these oils so as not
to harm her delicate skin...we just layer these on the chest and neck
areas...bless you and I hope this is helpful!

for me (b/c it has never gone away completely but it is soooooooo much

Re: [Everything doTERRA] 6 yr old--many unique challenges

Unfortunately, I am thinking Aspergers or another mild form of autism as
well. I'd really like to have a diagnosis though. I know it sounds scary
but the truth is once you know there are a coping skills that can be
learned so he can be happy. There isn't anything much more stressful for
a child than to feel like they are different and not know why. We have a
friend whose son was diagnosed with Aspergers. They tested the father
and discovered he also had it and it came as such a relief to him after
all of those years of wondering. There are autism treatment protocols
(www.everythingessential.me) BUT I can't stress strongly enough to Zyto
if you have access AND muscle test him. Its one of those things where
what works for one doesn't for the other and sometimes can have strong
negative reactions.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth

If she took the GX Cleanse which is specially formulated for gut distress it already has the Oregano in it.
Before they created the GX we make our own using: 4 drops of Oregano, 5 drops of Lemon and 5 drops of Melaleuca in a capsule and take one or two times a day.

Her Doctor has suggested she take oil of oregano from Allergy Research Group - 2 drops in capsule 1 x a day for 14 days. Luckily, she discovered doTERRA and wants to take the doTERRA oregano instead. What we need your help with is figuring out how much she should take and how often and for how long?

Dr. Sue said in her oregano call that it is is better "to use a little and reapply every 1/2 hour". I have heard Dr. Hill say "don't exceed 7 days of oregano use with out a rest for the body".

I also notice that the Allergy Research Group oil of oregano is 200 mg of oregano il to 100 mg of rice bran oil. How many drops of our oregano do you think this is equivalent to?

Any other ideas, testimonials, or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have found the Aroma Touch Technique to be very helpful. And as for how often,
it depends on how often you want to use them. I would say when he needs them.

What would you think of the following for a cute 6 yr old boy?
(he is a very sweet child and is very good in math)
•       Clothing sensitivity – can take over an hour getting dressed to find
clothes that feel comfortable (for example, hates socks with seams and
pants where you can feel the waistband)
•       Auditory processing disorder (reads very well but doesn't always
comprehend the meaning of age appropriate material and/or doesn't get
a joke or conversation that other kids understand; has a hard time
playing fast moving team sports because he can't follow all the action/
commands, etc.)
•       Overreacts (has a "melt down") to situations other kids could take
in stride and takes a long time to calm down after words.  Recognizes
that he is unable to calm himself down.
•       Has had infrequent heart palpitations
•       Hypersensitive taste and smell
•       Doesn't like to have bowel movements (had a rectal prolapse before)
•       Clears throat frequently even though he has no allergies or acid
reflux (EGD showed esophagus is normal)
•       Gross motor ability is somewhat uncoordinated, but he can do all the
regular things kids his age can do
•       Easily distractible
•       Sometimes gets very hoarse for no reason
•       When he gets excited, he pushes on his cheeks with his fists.  He
says that his cheeks will feel tingly and pushing on them makes them
feel better.  Unfortunately, it's an odd habit.

My sister thinks these symptoms point to issues with the vagus nerve.

A new IPC that has had GREAT success w/vetiver & her own daughter's
central auditory processing disorder (+ anxiety, ADHD, etc) has given
them serenity, balance and vetivier to try but with no success.  I
don't know HOW MUCH & HOW OFTEN they used them, though.

Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: severe allergies

You are doing everything correctly. One of the quickest ways to get this blend
working is to swish it under the tongue and around the mouth before swallowing.
Might be hard if you don't like the taste, but you will like the results.

My husband has had debilitating allergies in the past, too. I swear by
lemon, lavender, and peppermint! We use 2 drops each in a shot glass
of water. He swishes it around then swallows. Works much better for
him than the capsules did.

My son uses melaleuca in place of the lavender. He likes how that
works for him ~ though he does not like the taste.

We haven't tried under the tongue... do you do one oil at a time or
have a mixture you use?

One more thing to note: there have been times, especially early on,
that we would do one dose and then repeat it in about 15 minutes. It
seems that second dose helped kick it in if the first one didn't. With
the oils you don't have to wait the 4-6 hours to take another dose
like you do with the medicines. :)  Also try rubbing those oils on the
feet. Sometimes we layer, sometimes we have a blend.

Good luck!!!

[Everything doTERRA] Re: Wet Eczema (infected)

Yes, it is very much possible that you have allergic reactions to some
essential oils as one of my fiends was to Lemon.
Totally agree with your suggestion.
